last weekend we attended the 159th annual highland games. for the first time in about ten years the weather was -dare i say- enjoyable, and our kids had the best time ever. we finally bought them kilts in the anderson tartan (adam is trying to talk me into buying my own mcgreagor kilt, but i'm still holding out) and they were talked about wherever they wandered. we even met the most darling man, thomas anderson, from california who had to get a picture with the kids in all of their cute matchy-matchyness. kylinn thought his scottish accent was totally fascinating and showed off some of her sweet dance moves.
*btw, we also have a girls jumper in the same anderson tartan in 1/2T if anyone ever wants to borrow it. i totally forgot about it during grandma's funeral.

I still can't believe we didn't run into you ONCE the entire time we were there.
We spent the weekend camping and becoming famous in the campground and with our friends for making ice cream on the beach. The ice cream ball worked awesome, only problem was that there was no way to keep all the little kids from stopping by to beg us for some delicious ice cream. Thanks!!
Maybe next year we will go and baby M can wear it! We were actually trying to pick her something out at Babies R' Us that was plaid, but it was all so heavy, we thought she might be too hot in August.
sure thing.
kylinn's first games were at 7 weeks old. she wore a red & gray plaid jumper with matching shoes. she was fine.
the kilts are heavier-weight wool, but the anderson jumper is a lighter wool.
