Vanover Park in Golden, Colorado
Built in 1990, this creekside park's focal point is one of Colorado's largest Cottonwood trees. During Golden's earlier days, it was said that a Mr. Vanover was lynched at this tree by the local populace without a trial. Present day park users will enjoy the quiet flow of Clear Creek with an overview of the famous Coors Brewery. The only things found hanging from the tree these days are leaves, thank goodness!
who knew?
