someone somewhere read my letter to the federal court regarding my jury duty summons for next week and granted me an excuse. because 'lack of childcare does not constitute reasons for excuse' i figured there was no way to avoid it, but i wrote a letter explaining that it was virtually impossible to get to detroit at 7:45 am with two children, one being in preschool, and well, a lack of childcare. thank you, thank you, thank you. to everyone that was praying for me, and whomever decided that i didn't need to listen to the la shish trial. i'll eat a falafal sandwich and toast to the d'.
