ten random things about me

1. many, many strangers have asked me if i was canadian upon hearing my "accent"
2. although i never ate beef, i have been a lacto-ovo vegetarian ever since this happened in 1995.
3. adam and i decided that our future daughter would be named kylinn before we were even married. tegan, on the other hand, was decided on around 16 weeks gestation and would have still been tegan regardless of gender. prior to august 2006, our names were julien erihn and corbin dayton. then i met a nastly little corbin and it freaked me out.
4. i try to be so independent and self-sufficient that i tend to come off as cold when really i'm just trying to prove my own strength to myself.
5. adam and i managed to pay almost $20K of our wedding ourselves while he was still making less than $30K a year and i was contributing little or nothing to the income department.
6. i have well over 50 pairs of shoes. i'm sure it's closer to 100, but i've recently donated some.
7. in high school, i briefly considered going into dentistry until i remembered that i can't stand the sight of blood. my guidance counselor was the one who advised me to go into teaching.
8. i only got in trouble once in school. in fifth grade, for talking in the back of the room while i was supposed to building my series circuit. i had my name put on the board. i was mortified. when i ended up subbing with said teacher, i told her about it and she laughed that i had even remembered. remembered? it has apparently scarred me for life!
9. i still find myself quoting lines from "pee-wee's playhouse."
10. i'm a sucker for an open-air market (flea, fruit & vegetables, flowers or otherwise)
