i apologize for the recent silence around here. i've been frantically finishing up our shopping and been busy with appointments. baby vanover is growing strong. we're in the process of making squares, so if you're interested in participating in the gender/due-date guessing game just let me know.
our new carpet was installed last week and it is fabulous, but forced a fair amount of chaos into our home for a few days. almost everything is back where it belongs.
i got a fab new haircut on tuesday. my stylist asked if i was going for "the mom thing" i said no, and that if he made me look 30 i would kick his ass. it was kind of sad to go to the salon this time, we used to talk about parties and going out and this time we talked about paper shredders, shavers, support hose and grey hair. ahh life. life is what happens to you while you're busy making other plans.
tonight we are attending our annual pawelek-vanover christmas. i'm excited because this is our laid-back get-together where we usually enjoy wine, but this year i'll just have to sniff cork. really hard. haha. the countdown is on... there's less than forty days of sobriety left and i can't wait.
so realistically, this is the last update that you'll receive until after christmas. we just have too much going on and not enough time for non-holiday business. so on that note, i leave you to have a very merry christmas.
