kylinn and the fishes

we spent saturday afternoon on belle isle. we started out at the aquarium where we got to see several hundred pound fish, eels, tiny clown fish (think nemo) crabs, some nice brine shrimp (ie: sea monkeys) and a turtle.

as expected, kylinn was truly fascinated and yelled and beat on the tank walls much to the dismay of the poor animals. afterward, we went next door to the anna scripps whitcomb conservatory (which was amazing!) if the island wasn't so darn ghetto we would have had our wedding there. good old kwami... but that's another story.

honestly though, the conservatory is amazing- palms reaching 100+ feet, a room of orchids, another full of cactus plants. it's beautiful. and totally free. you should go.here's my final plea before the mayor destroys the entire city...
